Books

Die Bottwartal- und die Zabergäubahn

Geschichte der Schmalspurbahnen Marbach (Neckar) - Heilbronn Süd und Lauffen (Neckar) - Leonbronn

Published in 2004 by Verlag Kenning, ISBN: 3-933613-47-7

German text, hard cover.

An excellent source of information, photos and drawings of these two lines in southern Germany. Even if you cannot read German you will find this an invaluable reference book.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I got my copy through AbeBooks as it is no longer listed on the Verlag Kenning website.

Schmalspur in Baden-Württemberg

By Kurt Seidel Kurt and Rudolf Stöckle. Published in 1977 by Einhorn-Verlag Eduard Dietenberger. ISBN 3-921703-19-0

German text, hard cover.

You will need a good grasp of German to appreciate this book as it is mostly text.

Das Öchsle

Die Geschichte der Schmalspur-Nebenbahn Biberach - Ochsenhausen

By Ingrid Stubenrauch and Thomas Scherer. Published in 1983 by Eisenbahn-Kurier Verlag. ISBN 3-88255-792-3

German text, hard cover.

An excellent book on the Öchsle, though to make the most of it you will need to be able to read German quite well as there is a lot of text in it. i.e. It is not just an album of photos.

Das Öchsle

Schmalspur Eisenbahn Ochsenhausen - Warthausen, 90 Jahre Öchsle Geschichte

By Thomas Scherer, Wolfgang Schuhmacher and Ingrid Stubenrauch. Eisenbahn-Kurier Verlag

German text, soft cover.

Note: There are at least two different editions of this book (the other having a red cover), but the content is the same.

Websites

H.P. Schramm's website (www.schmalspureisenbahnen.de/schmspbw.php) is an excellent source of information (in German) on narrow gauge railways in Baden Württemberg.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
